City Hall Scheßlitz

15 km east of Bamberg, between the Cathedral City of Bamberg and the Wagner-City of Bayreuth, lies the city of Scheßlitz with a total of 30 affiliated villages.

With plenty of things worth seeing, visitors can expect everything that Franconian Switzerland has to offer: climbing rocks, juniper slopes, limestone sinter streams as well as extensive hiking trails.

Giechburg and Gügel – a chapel and a castle on two adjoining hilltops - offer fantastic long-distance views of the Rhön or Thuringia.
