About 5,000 inhabitants live in the community of Frensdorf and its 14 affiliated villages. Here, at the lower reaches of the rivers "Rauhe Ebrach" and "Reiche Ebrach" (rough and rich Ebrach), at the foothills of the Steigerwald, life is really good!

Attractions are above all the Farmers' Museum of Bamberg County and our natural bathing lake in Frensdorf, as well as the pilgrimage church "Zur Schmerzhaften Dreifaltigkeit" in Schlüsselau. These destinations and other churches, buildings and landscapes worth seeing can be easily reached via many local and regional cycling and hiking trails that have been created in recent years. Parish fairs, sports and cultural events as well as numerous club and other festivities of sociability are part of the happenings in our community and contribute considerably to a good togetherness, as does the widely acclaimed gastronomy with its breweries, beer cellars, beer gardens and numerous inns.
