The city of Schlüsselfeld is located about 30 kilometres southwest of Bamberg in the Steigerwald Forest and covers an area of 70 km² with 22 affiliated villages spread across the valley of the River Reiche Ebrach.
Its centre and administrative seat is the city of Schlüsselfeld, which has retained much of its medieval flair thanks to its historical towers and walls. Its rural character, the beautiful landscape and the excellent gastronomy give the community a charm that invites locals and visitors to hike and relax.
