After studying in China and England, Christiane Toewe deals with the topic of light. A great challenge for the trained ceramist to implement this in porcelain. After a year of exclusive development work in materials, technology and firing processes, the first series of large porcelain luminous objects was finished and can be seen in the Westerwald Ceramics Museum in 1991.
Complemented by the aspect of sustainability, as little material as necessary is used in order to make the greatest possible statement. Restraint impresses in form, color and translucency.
