92 Concert: Justus Friedrich Eichhorn (piano) – 5th concert of the Bamberg Music Society

Beethoven / Liszt / Debussy

Date: February 23, 2026 at 8:00 PM

Time: 20:00 till 22:00

The 15-year-old up-and-coming pianist Justus Friedrich Eichhorn is considered one of the most outstanding musical talents of his generation. With his charismatic personality, brilliant technique, and free, creative musicality, he has captivated audiences in concert halls such as the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, the Tonhalle in Zurich, and the Seoul Arts Center in Korea.

Since his debut with Haydn's Piano Concerto at the age of ten (2020), Justus has performed with various orchestras, including Mozart's Piano Concerto in A major (K. 414) with the Moscow Soloists under the direction of Yuri Bashmet, and Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Korean Chamber Orchestra, the Camerata Prague, the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra (Ukraine), and the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn. He has also won numerous piano competitions, including the Carl Bechstein Competition in Berlin—as the youngest participant ever! Justus studies with Professor Grigory Gruzman at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar and at the Schloss Belvedere Music Gymnasium, where he also receives instruction in conducting. His first CD, featuring piano concertos by Haydn and Beethoven, was released in 2024.

We will hear him in a solo recital with works by Beethoven, Liszt, and Debussy.
