NONNE 11 is a meeting place, a hybrid studio, laboratory, idea hub, and showroom. It hosts exhibitions, concerts, readings, soirées, and workshops where design disciplines and creative approaches are no longer considered in separate categories.

One of the most important missions of Atelier NONNE 11 is the preservation of craftsmanship as intangible cultural heritage. Nora and Alvaro not only cultivate and pass on special or traditional techniques but also make them tangible through guided tours and workshops. They want to tell the stories behind the fascination of craftsmanship and show how it is experiencing a renaissance in contemporary design.

Nora and Alvaro have each developed their own unique styles, which could hardly be more different, yet harmonize perfectly with and alongside each other. Nora's great passion is the ancient, almost alchemical technique of enameling, in which she creates multifaceted, iridescent jewelry. Alvaro explores mythological alloys, which he shapes using traditional sand casting techniques, imbuing them with archaic expression and intricately embedded gemstones.

Both artists share a search for the poeticization of everyday life, which finds expression not only in their own work but also in the NUNNE 11 platform.
