In the heart of Sandstraße, you can soak up the charm of the old town. Everything is within walking distance, including the world-famous Bamberg Cathedral, St. Michael's Monastery (Michelsberg), St. Stephen's Church, the Lüpertz Window, the Old Bridge Town Hall, Altenburg Castle, the old Lock 100, the E.T.A. Hoffmann Theater, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra Concert Hall, ERBA-Park, Hain City Park, and Little Venice, all waiting to be explored. A boat trip on the Regnitz River is also just a few minutes away. Afterward, you can stop at one of Bamberg's many traditional restaurants and pubs. In summer, experience the beautifully situated beer gardens and the Bamberg Sandkerwa (Sandkirchweih) at the end of August, one of Bavaria's largest folk festivals, held in the historic Sandstraße.
