Ludwig Collection in the Old Town Hall

Exhibition "Fake Food: Eating between appearance and reality" From the Petri dish to the table: How "real" is our food? And was it better before?
While in the 18th century the precious asparagus was deceptively replicated in porcelain, today's methods of "faking" food are more varied and sophisticated. The interactive exhibition “Fake Food. Eating between appearances and reality" in the old town hall in Bamberg deals with questions of authenticity, sustainability and the cultural imprint of our diet. Installations, videos and listening stations as well as precious porcelain and baroque faience from the Ludwig Collection are presented.
