At low water, especially in midsummer, the ferry service is sometimes not possible!
The origins of the Pettstadt ferry can be traced back to the 14th century. The ferry is pulled or pushed across the river, depending on the way the rope is set and the current of the river.
There is a service station for bicycles, and during ferry operating hours, there is also a public and barrier-free/disabled toilet facility.
