Town hall Bischberg municipality
Located directly on the city limits of the World Heritage and University City of Bamberg, the community of Bischberg combines the advantages of being close to the city with the quiet and tranquil life in the countryside. The community area consists of the central Bischberg with the affiliated villages of Weipelsdorf, Trosdorf, Tütschengereuth as well as Rothof. Due to the central location of the former fishing village Bischberg, various hikes along the country paths in the direction of Rothof, Aurachgrund and Steigerwald or bicycle tours along the valley of the River Main are possible. The landscape is characterised by the flat Main valley, large water areas and quarry ponds in the north and the heights of the Michelsberg forest rising to the south. With optimal transport connections to Bamberg and within the region, good local shopping facilities, a dynamic community life with numerous active clubs and an appealing gastronomy, Bischberg has developed into one of the most popular residential communities in the Bamberg region over the past decades.
