Town hall Priesendorf municipality

The community of Priesendorf is located on the border between Upper and Lower Franconia and Bamberg County and Hassberge County in the Steigerwald Nature Park. The formerly independent municipality of Neuhausen also belongs to the municipality. Priesendorf was first mentioned in a document in 1289, the district Neuhausen in 1303.

Sights are the neo-baroque pilgrimage chapel Marienwallfahrtskapelle and the parish church St. Bartholomäus, built in 1931 by Fritz Fuchsenberger.

Peace and relaxation can be gained by walks or hikes through the beautiful Steigerwald Forest, past bubbling springs to impressive vantage points. Excellent hiking trails like the Panoramaweg (Panoramic trail), the Bierecke in the Steigerwald and paths to the Friedleinsbrunnen, invite you to relax in an intact nature.
