On the Upper Main Canoe Trail, you can travel for 35 kilometres between Bad Staffelstein and Bamberg without encountering any weirs or barrages. From Bamberg, you can continue your trip downstream in a relaxed ambience. Whitewater enthusiasts are attracted to Wiesent in the region surrounding Bamberg.
