The Main River Bicycle Trail is one of the best cycling routes in all of Franconia. Enjoy relaxed bicycle touring from the origins of the Red Main and the White Main all the way to the confluence of the Main with the River Rhine.
The 600 km long trail is the ultimate route for leisure touring thanks to gentle grades, constantly changing beautiful landscapes, as well as an abundance of art and cultural treasures along the trail. Picturesque cities and villages, idyllic places to linger and make a break, beer gardens, wineries and excellent restaurants, lots of sights and things to do and see make the whole route a worthwhile experience.
The part going through Bamberg County is characterised by the many waterways and the proximity to the river.
