Christmas markets in Bamberg and the region

During Advent, Maximiliansplatz square in the pedestrian zone is transformed into a Christmas market, featuring among others, a large Franconian half-timber nativity scene depicting various scenes from the Christmas story. Further markets featuring arts and crafts take place from late November to December in Bamberg and in many of the communities in the vicinity of Bamberg.
