It was Bamberg‘s intact old town with its authentic and original building ensemble and its structural and functional continuity over the centuries that supported the appointment. Another reason was the influence Bamberg’s medieval and baroque architecture had on other cities elsewhere in Europe. Today, Bamberg is a lively town with a fascinating range of sights, culture, arts, culinary delights and experiences for every age and taste.
The old town of Bamberg was inscribed on the list of World Heritage Sites on December 11, 1993. Reason enough to celebrate this 30th anniversary in style in the year 2023
