Strolling through the Nativity Town
Nativity scenes rank among the loveliest - and the most tangible - aspects of the Christmas season. This is especially true of Bamberg, the Nativity Town. On a reflective stroll along the nativity trail, walkers will discover an abundance of nativity scenes spread across around 36 stations, including the Cathedral, small chapels, museums and public buildings all around Bamberg's Old Town and beyond in the outskirts and in Bamberg County.

"Peephole" - Nativity scene in the Kunigunden chapel
Behind the mighty west towers of the cathedral, an angel in the vicarage points to the small Kunigunden chapel. There you can discover a nativity scene during Advent and Christmas through a small "peephole". By pressing a switch, the light and many a movable element are set in motion.
