The lovely and varied landscape in and around Schlüsselfeld is the perfect backdrop for active sports and recreation. There are 5 circular hiking routes from 4 – 14 km of length and a forest experience trail. The city itself goes back to medieval times and offers a very nice townscape.

Our tip: Hike along the Three-Franconians-Trail
This tour is a round trip through three communities - Burghaslach, Geiselwind and Schlüsselfeld - in the heart of Franconia, where three districts of Franconia meet. Hikers can experience the impressive, cultural landscape of the Steigerwald forest uplands. Rustic Franconian Restaurants and brew taverns offer the perfect locations for comfortable breaks. You can enjoy this hike either in one, albeit very long, go or split up into 2 to 5 shorter day hikes. Your hosts can offer luggage transfers from one stage to the next. For a small fee you can buy the Three-Franconians-Trail Needle, once you’ve accomplished the tour.
