Schönbrunn
Im Steigerwald
The Valley of the Rough Ebrach (Rauhe Ebrach) has been inhabited since prehistoric times. Schönbrunn itself is first mentioned in the 13. century, as proven by the charter of Bishop Berthold of Würzburg from 1278.
There is a nice loop trail (S3, length of 7 km) beginning at "Glabiplatz" on asphalt road, leading into the forest towards chapel St. Anna (idyllic picnic area), continuing to the "Ludwigsquelle" (source of Louis) and a nearby quarry. Return to Schönbrunn via attractive high trails.
Sights: Chapel St. Anna, church Mariä Himmelfahrt
Activities: Marked cycle tracks and hiking trails (125 km)
