Even though Wattendorf itself was first mentioned in 1180 in the historical documents, its history actually goes back a lot further to the first settlements in the year 2.500 BC. The high plateau with its rock formations and juniper trees on the slopes, woods and meadows invite to pleasant walks and cross-country-skiing in the winter months.
