A tour of discovery through the World Heritage

Set off on a little journey of discovery through Bamberg’s historic districts!

The Gardeners’ Town, with its picturesque streets and small gardeners’ cottages, is the first stop on your journey and offers a fascinating insight into urban horticulture from the 14th century to the present day.
A visit to the Gardeners’ and Winegrowers’ Museum, a lovingly restored gardener’s cottage, will immerse you in the past and give you an insight into the working methods, guild traditions and religious customs of both then and now.
After a bite to eat in a typical Franconian old town pub, the ‘Island Town’ and the ‘Mountain Town’ await you. Narrow alleyways, medieval squares and unique buildings, such as Bamberg Cathedral (viewed from the outside only), the Alte Hofhaltung and Little Venice, are sure to delight you.
