Here baroque, there rococo - this is perhaps the best description for the two jewels of the Upper Main: the former Benedictine monastery Banz with its unique Dientzenhofer Church and Fourteen Saints pilgrim's church, a beautiful creation by Balthasar Neumann. If time allows, a detour can be made on the journey home to Langheim Monastery which was greatly decimated in the period of secularisation but which still bears witness to the strong influence of the Cistercian monasteries.
