This tour takes you to the Maria Limbach pilgrim's church, which was the final project by the outstanding architect Balthasar Neumann. It boasts a lavish interior embracing the late gothic miraculous image, the extravagant rococo altars and the simple stucco. In Zeil am Main it is worth looking at St. Michael's parish church, the daedal house by carpenter Jörg Hoffmann and the ensemble around the square. Königsberg in Bayern was home to the important astronomer Regiomontanus. The little town with its sedate half-timbered buildings appears to have been transported through time directly from the late 17th century to the present day.
