Bürgerspitalstiftung – Hofladen im Forsthaus Weipelsdorf

Game dishes are among the most special culinary experiences: venison is a high-quality food, low in fat and rich in minerals such as potassium, copper, phosphorus, iron, and zinc. It also contains a very high proportion of omega-3 fatty acids. Game feeds on what nature provides and arrives at your table without long transport routes.

The Bürgerspitalstiftung's forest holdings cover approximately 1,100 hectares. The game, which has always been harvested there, has been available in a wide variety under the "Bamberger Stiftsgarten" brand since June 2021, depending on hunting success and season, at the farm shop in the Weipelsdorf Forestry House.
