The music world hadn't heard anything quite so wonderfully crazy in 2009! With their idea of blending Franconian folk music with modern sounds, Kellerkommando has since won the hearts of countless people from the North Sea to the Alps. As Franconian cultural ambassadors, the five men have even toured Ukraine and Mexico. Their inimitable mix of driving beats, fat brass from trumpet and trombone, punchy synth bass, and incredibly catchy tunes (those Franconian earworms from grandpa and grandma's record collection!) gets feet tapping and throats roaring.
This is pure party music, a bit of ska, a dash of electro, a hefty dose of punk, a hint of the traditional Franconian folk festival spirit – even metalheads will be happily headbanging and dancing. The audience is as diverse as the music: people between 0 and 100 years old rub their eyes in amazement that they have ended up at the same concert and are all having fun together when the Kellerkommando starts singing its Franconian anthems.
