In addition to the history of the town, the geology, ecology and folklore of the Steigerwald are presented in a particularly clear and understandable way. This house sees itself as a “hands-on and comprehensible museum”: touching is even encouraged. An important part of the exhibition is the history of porcelain in Europe and that of the manufactory in Reichmannsdorf from the end of the 18th century. The special collection of porcelain salt shakers that was created at the same time is now one of the largest of its kind.
