Town hall Lauter municipality

The municipality of Lauter with its affiliated villages of Deusdorf, Appendorf and Leppelsdorf is located in the romantic valley of the Lautergrund and belongs to the administrative community of Baunach.

Just under one kilometre south of Lauter, the district of Appendorf is located in a charming environment. Until 1971, when Appendorf gave up its independence and merged with Lauter, Appendorf formed an independent community with Godeldorf and the Godelhof farm. The inn “Zum Välta “ is well known for its musical evenings far beyond the borders of the county.
