Town hall Wattendorf municipality

The municipality of Wattendorf is the smallest municipality in Bamberg County and an affiliated community of Steinfeld. Together wit the villages of Bojendorf, Gräfenhäusling, Mährenhüll, Schneeberg and Wattendorf, Wattendorf is located on the edge of Franconian Switzerland on the Jura Rise.

Worth seeing are especially the parish church of St. Barbara from the 14. /15. century with its steeple, visible from afar, its caves and mound tombs and typical juniper slopes.

The wide range of hiking trails and cross-country skiing ensure optimal local recreation. It is complemented by the cycle path network. Wattendorf is located on the route of the “Fürstbischöfliche Radtour” bike tour.
