Experience the world of beer on this thematic route taking you along the many places of interest for beer lovers and friends of a traditional handcrafted beer. Bamberg County is steeped in breweries, with its 70 breweries it is probably the region with the highest density of breweries in the world.
It will be best to take your time on this route to be able to savour some of the specialities of the local breweries en route. You can master the route easily in 3 to 4 days and enjoy the encounters with the brew masters, their breweries and the beer, not to forget the local fare, which goes down well with the beer.
The tour is conceived as a circular route through the Steigerwald Nature Park, the Valleys of the Rivers Main and Regnitz and Franconian Switzerland. The main route has a length of 220 km, but can be shortened by various intersections and short-cuts in between.
