The Prince-Bishop's Tour
A round trip through Upper Franconia
This tour is a highlight for culturally-minded bikers. It starts and ends in the world heritage city of Bamberg and takes you through parts of the Steigerwald Nature Park and Franconian Switzerland.
You'll discover an abundance of natural and cultural sights, works of art and splendid architecture formed by more than 800 years of the rule of Bamberg's worldly and spiritual leaders, the prince-bishops.
Far from traffic this trail leads you through quiet woods, idyllic valleys and picturesque villages. Of course, the next brew pub or traditional restaurant is never far from the trail, after all, this is the heartland for indulgence and epicures.
