Idyllic Nature Trail on the Frankenalb
The Upland Trail is the direct connection from Bamberg to Bayreuth via the Franconian Mountains called Frankenalb. The typical plateaus and limestone rock formations form the backdrop to this diversified biking trail.
The trail passes through a region lovingly called Franconian Tuscany, reaches the delightful foothills of the Franconian Mountains and continues on via the uplands with their great views towards the River Wiesent Valley to Plankenfels. Following the Franconian Switzerland Bike Trail, you then reach Bayreuth. There is a rather long and steep hill when climbing up to the uplands.
