200th anniversary of E.T.A. Hoffmann's death

Time and again, his literary works contain references to Bamberg - the town where he lived with his wife Mischa from 1808 to 1813. These turned out to be his "years of agony", marked by professional crises and an unhappy love. At the same time, these years represent a time of great creative productivity.
The artist's life in Bamberg and his works will be the subject of numerous exhibitions and city tours in the theme year 2022.
