Upper Main Valley at the foothills of the Haßberg Hills
First mentioned 1017, Kemmern lies at the foot of the Haßberge Hills, right near the Main River. To the southwest Kemmern is next to the Steigerwald nature park, to the east lies Franconian Switzerland. Slow tourism is the main focus here, and good traditional fare is served.
