Accompanied by a certified tour guide, you’ll first make your way up to the former Benedictine monastery of St. Michael and, during the ‘So Close to Heaven’ guided tour, learn more about the history of St Michael’s Church and the Heavenly Garden. After lunch together, the tour will take you to the Cathedral Hill. There, you’ll discover the cathedral, the Old Court and the New Residence. The tour comes full circle in the Rose Garden – offering one of the most beautiful views over the rooftops of Bamberg’s old town, all the way up to Michaelsberg.
