The scenic Jura community of Stadelhofen lies at the gateway to Franconian Switzerland in the eastern part of Bamberg County.
Stadelhofen is therefore part of the “Fränkische Schweiz-Veldensteiner Forst” nature park. „Paradise Valley“ is a popular excursion destination for nature lovers, located in the vicinity of Stadelhofen – an oasis of tranquility, which invites you to hike and climb with its bizarre rock formations. Two private breweries in Schederndorf and Steinfeld and guest houses invite you to stop for a break.
On clear days you can see all the way to the Fichtelgebirge with the Ochsenkopf and the Schneeberg summits. Steinfeld is the source of the River Wiesent. It is worthwhile to spend a few minutes at the spring. The wide range of leisure, sports and hiking offers also make it possible to go mountaineering and climbing, as well as cycling in the area – Stadelhofen is located on the “Fürstbischöflichen Bike Tour”.
